Andrew Bird will reprise last year's intimate solo “Gezelligheid”
performances in select cities this winter. Appropriating a Dutch
term that loosely translated means “cozy,” the performances
concentrate mainly on instrumental violin pieces amplified only by
Bird's signature giant Victrola horns. Tourdates, all on-sale this
coming weekend, are listed here.
In the breathtaking video department, here's an unofficial but wholly endorsed piece set to Andrew's "Don't Be Scared" (from 2003's Weather Systems), created by Jessica Paliza and students from the London Film School. Turn the lights down and enjoy!
